My Epic Quests on the Nerd Fitness Academy

Strength - Pull Ups

  1. 3x8 Weighted Pull Ups and Dips with 60 lbs (100 XP) Why: This will be a good lifting goal since it will mean I need to buy more weights and the dips balance out the pull ups by preventing me from progressing too quickly.

  2. Full Range of Motion One Arm Chin/Pull Up (100 XP) Why: The one arm chin up is the holy grail of bodyweight fitness for a pull up enthusiast.

Health - Feel Good and Stay Healthy Long Term

  1. I will go to bed by 10 pm to get 8 hours of sleep every day for one month. (20 XP) Why: Getting enough sleep is essential for work performance, health, and strength.

  2. I will consume 1500 healthy calories every single day for 1 month in order to lower my cholesterol and build muscle. (20 XP) Why: If I eat to fulfill these healthy calories first, I will be less tempted to eat unhealthy snacks which will improve my cholesterol. This will also help me reach my strengh goals.

  3. Lower LDL cholesterol to below 80 and keep it there. (100 XP) Why: Heart health is very important for a long and healthy life with my family.

Life - Grow in Christ

  1. Go on a missions trip (100 XP) Why: This is an opportunity for me to serve and grow

  2. I will practice teaching the 5 Bible lessons for short term mission. (20 XP) Why: Preparing for these lessons is probably the most important thing I can do for the short term missions trip.

  3. I will memorize the 3 Chinese songs by the end of May. (20 XP) Why: I believe this is necessary preparation for the short term mission and it is a way for me to serve and dedicate time with God.

Finance - Financial Independence

  1. Reach half of my FI number. (100 XP) Why: I need to be a good steward of God’s resources. I passed a quarter of my FI number after 2 years of working so I hope to reach this milestone by the end of 2021.
